Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput‘s death, the debate surrounding nepotism and camps in Bollywood has increased. Filmmaker Karan Johar has been at the receiving end as netizens have accused him of pressuring Sushant and not allowing him to flourish in the film industry.

Mumbai police is investigating the cause behind ‘MS Dhoni’ actor’s drastic step of ending his life abruptly. ‘Professional rivalry’ and film industry insiders ganging up against him is being reported as one of the reasons why Sushant committed suicide.

Seems like after receiving severe backlash, Karan has unfollowed several accounts on the microblogging site Twitter. The filmmaker is currently following only eight accounts on Twitter which comprise of only three Bollywood superstars.

In a surprising move, KJo has unfollowed almost all his proteges like Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. He is not even following his dear friend Kajol or best friend’s Shah Rukh Khan‘s wife Gauri Khan.

Currently, KJo is following only 8 handles, out of which four of them belongs to his banner Dharma Productions and its CEO, Apoorva Mehta. At present, the only three actors he is following are- Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. He is also following Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Post Sushant’s death, Karan had shared a post remembering him and blaming himself for not being in touch. In his post for Sushant, KJo had written, “I blame myself for not being in touch with you for the past year….. I have felt at times like you may have needed people to share your life with…but somehow I never followed up on that feeling…will never make that mistake again…we live in very energetic and noisy but still very isolated times …some of us succumb to these silences and go within…we need to not just make relationships but also constantly nurture them….Sushants unfortunate demise has been a huge wake up call to me …to my level of compassion and to my ability to foster and protect my equations…..I hope this resonates with all of you as well….will miss your infectious smile and your bear hug ….💔💔💔”
