A few weeks back, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ actor Ashiesh Roy had taken to social media to seek financial help. The actor was admitted to ICU and his financial condition was so bad that he said he didn’t even have a penny to pay his hospital bills. The latest report states that Roy has been discharged from hospital as he couldn’t afford treatment.

Speaking about his current condition, Ashiesh in an interview with SpotBoyE said, “I am home right now and feeling extremely weak. There is a house help who is taking care of me. As flights are not working full-fledged, my sister has not been able to come down. I had to take discharge on May 24 as I had no more money to pay them. The bill was of Rs 2 lakhs and somehow I managed to pay that. My dialysis is still on and it will go on for two more months. I visit the hospital every alternate day and they charge Rs 2000 for three hours dialysis.”

Earlier there were reports of Roy trying to reach out Salman Khan for help. Commenting on the same, the actor told the portal, “I have not received any help and I don’t know if my message even reached Salman Khan. I just want to get fine now and get back to work.”

After reading Roy’s pleas for financial aid on social media, several celebs like Jyotsna Chandola and writer-producer Vinta Nanda had come forward to help him. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, even took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Actor Ashish Roy (Bond) is seriously ill, on dialysis and in the ICU. He has appealed for financial help on FB. I’m doing all I can to help. Can industry associations also help the ailing actor? (sic).”

He had even received some help, speaking of which he had told Hindustan Times, “I feel grateful for all the love and support I have been receiving. I never expected so much. I have led a dignified life all this while. Nahi socha thha ki aisa bhi din dekhna padhega. I plan to return all the help once the shooting of my TV show commences.”

Roy is a known face on television. He has been a part of popular shows like ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby’, ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’, ‘Remix’, ‘Banegi Apni Baat’, ‘Bymokesh Bakshi’ and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ to name a few. However, owing to the lockdown, his financial conditions have worsened.
